(Photos by Wes Allison) – The high flying super stockers were out in force at the 2018 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California. The conditions were stout all weekend long so that meant big horsepower from the engines and big wheelies from the racers. Super Stock is an interesting class for the sheer variety and breadth of the cars and trucks competing in it. You’ll get a sense of that in these photos which do a good job of showing off a load of unique and fast hot rods. From V6 engines that scream in their own distinctive way to thundering big blocks that heave the noses of cars and trucks into the sky, fans love watching every pair.
