(Photos by David Whealon) – Here’s our final look at the 2019 Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals photos that David Whelaon shot. These are all fresh images and they capture the most powerful cars at the event doing what they do. Running hard, throwing fire, and sometimes exploding on the starting line, these are the cars that pack the spectators in the grandstands for unpredictable and gut rattling action.
We’re gearing up for Las Vegas next weekend and the 50th Gators will officially be a memory then, but what a memory with a packed house, awesome side by side action, and legends crawling all over the pits at historic Gainesville Raceway. Keeping with a theme, we’re going to honor some Las Vegas history this year with a neat feature that Tony and I are going to shoot when we get into town in Nevada. Fun stuff for sure.
