(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – Last week we showed you
series and today we’re back with more photos from the event featuring the sportsman racers who were there competing in various classes as well as the racers who were on the grounds to get some early season testing done. This series has really evolved over the years and it is pretty cool that it draws the diverse set of cars that it does. From cool bracket machines right on up to the nasty pro mods, it is always a good show when the EOPM crew is in town. Our man on the scene was Benoit Pigeon who makes a habit of hitting these races because they are all in the Virginia and North Carolina general area where he lives. We enjoy the coverage and since he is a freak like us, he doesn’t abandon his post on the wall when the pro mods are done, he sticks right in there and gets great sportsman drag racing action. These are the cars we love to see and look at in the pits because they are real world hot rods being run on whatever budget the racer can afford. The veritable backbone of every drag racing organization is the weekly racer, out there to have a good time, maybe win a couple of bucks, and go fast.
You will see some pro mods in here too like the Cadillac of Dina Parise. They were at the event in a testing capacity only and the CTS-V was looking and running great according to Benoit. Fun stuff all around from a great weekend in Virginia!
