While Alaska may not have many drag strips, in fact jus this one at Alaska Raceway Park, what they lack in quantity they more than make up for in scenery. Everyone that has been there says it’s next level beautiful, and I’d sure love to see it in person. This is a special place for sure, and because the 1320Video crew always visits Alaska for the 4th of July car launch celebration, the Alaska Raceway Park crew tends to put on some kind of drag racing so they have something with tire smoke to check out. This year it was a special 16-car street car shootout and it featured some legit quick cars.

While we were in Alaska for the Fourth of July festivities, Michelle and the crew at Alaska Raceway Park put together a special 16-car street car class so we could bring you another great day of racing. The field was packed with everything from 8-second to 10-second street cars, making for some awesome matchups and a great mix of builds.
On top of the racing, Alaska Raceway Park is hands down one of—if not the—most scenic drag strips we’ve ever visited. Huge thanks to Michelle and everyone at the track for the hospitality and putting together such a fun class. We had a blast, and we hope you enjoy the racing as much as we did!
