The first day of the 2020 Rocky Mountain Race Week is always a fun one. Everybody’s excited, everybody is anxious to get onto the track, and everybody’s ride is at the best it is going to be. The second the track opened up, that situation started to change. Cars break, things go wrong, and even before we got to the hotel that night we knew at least three drivers had bowed out due to carnage. And we aren’t talking baby stuff, either: unable to find a transmission to replace the one that got turned into chromed confetti, U-joints chunked and tossed, and more have put several cars out of commission before we even left Colorado.
