It’s been a wet few weeks in the Carolina’s, but this weekend the rain gods have left and that mean’s NHRA Mello Yello drag racing is going hot and heavy at Charlotte’s ZMax Dragway, home of the Carolina Nationals. With Friday’s evening qualifying session, we saw some top performances by names that are no stranger to the number one qualifying spot. Will they be able to hold onto it through Saturday’s qualifying sessions? With high temps at the 70 degree mark, the weather should be great for big speed and ET numbers, so we’ll see if all four of the current top spot holders can maintain it. Until then, watch the videos and see just how they all earned the top spot.
