John Mihovetz Runs 6.009 At 244.38 MPH To Become The Quickest and Fastest Mod Motor Car Ever

And according to him he’s not done yet! John sent us a text earlier this evening with the time slip attached showing his 6.009 at 244.38 mph run to become the quickest and fastest Mod Motor car once again. That’s right folks, John Mihovetz just ran 6.009 in his Mod Motor Mustang. Here is how our texting conversation went after I saw the time slip.

Me: Holy Crap! Good job dude! 5.90s here you come. Is that the best ET and Speed ever in the car?

John: So far

Me: Does it have more?

John: We will see tomorrow

If he runs better, we’ll know it right away tomorrow, as John is running in Comp at the Division 7 NHRA Race here in Vegas. With conditions expected to be the same tomorrow, there is not telling what this little 281 cubic inch Mod Motor can do. It had more than 50lbs of boost in it today, and we can only hope that a little more tuning will get him to that elusive 5.999 or better.

We’ll keep you posted.

Props to John and the team! I love seeing the numbers they’re getting out of such small cubic inches with a factory Ford block and cylinder head!

Could someone explain the mod motor class ot me please? Is it something like small block pro mods? We don’t have that class here (in the UK) as far as I’m aware.
