In this type of racing, the small tire, radial world, there’s not a race bigger than this one. Next month Donald Long is putting on his highly touted Sweet 16 race which is basically Radial vs The World only with a $101,000 purse which is paid in cash. It’s real deal stuff and Lights Out 9 was the big lead in for that event.

The thing about Lights Out is that the venue plays a big part in the race. South Georgia Motorsports Park is a good track but it does not see crowds like it does for Lights Out but once a year. The place is taxed to its limits as people come from all over the world to experience this race…and it is an experience. As a guy who has spent half of his life in the sport of drag racing, I can tell you that the electricity and overriding craziness of Lights Out is unrivaled in my personal experiences.
