We told you we had a bunch of photos the the recent Lonestar Nationals in Ennis Texas! This event, held at the famed Texas Motorplex, was an awesome show the featured not only the Mid West Pro Mods, but also NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Top Alcohol Funny Cars and Dragsters. They put on one hell of a show, and were a perfect pairing to the Mid West Pro Mod Series. Everyone in attendance, and watching online through the exclusive pay per view coverage, got to see some incredible drag racing despite the heat and humidity. This was a race to remember for many reasons, the least of which was the humid weather.

With no spectators allowed at this event, until a last minute approval Friday night from the Governor’s office, the grandstands had only crew in them during eliminations and it was just weird to see in Texas where so many fans can fit in their giant grandstands.

But, it was what it was, and everyone was just thrilled to get the chance to race so they were all doing their part to be safe, but still have fun racing. Our hats are off to the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series competitors, who without fail were mask equipped and practicing great social distancing. It was good to see and didn’t negatively impact the drag racing in the least bit.
