Sonoma Raceway, which will always be Sear’s Point to me, is one of the coolest drag strip and racing facilities in the country. I grew up going to Sear’s Point and have raced there in a variety of cars on more than one of their tracks, and can tell you that it is a great place for Northern California folks to race. They have a great Wednesday night ET Brackets program that has cars of all kinds and people of all ages racing, and they’ve just announced an expanded Bracket Racing program that will include Guaranteed Payouts for all classes regardless of car count. There will be more than 10 race days in 2018 and the new Manager of Drag Racing Operations for Sonoma Raceway, Kyle Seipel couldn’t be more excited.

“I am really excited to take the foundation my mom has built over the past three decades here and expand on it. We have a 12 race bracket racing schedule for 2018, with guaranteed and higher payouts, the Saturday night of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event will include a “Festival of Fire”, and Toyota Sonoma Nationals will continue to be one of the premier NHRA events on the West Coast.”

Clearly Kyle isn’t taking this new job sitting down, and we couldn’t be happier for him and the entire Sonoma Raceway Drags staff.
