NHRA is visiting the Peach State this weekend as the Mello Yello Drag Racing Season hits Atlanta Dragway for the Southern Nationals. Professional classes have been chomping at the bit to get a shot at this famed dragstrip and we’ve got NHRA Qualifying Highlight videos to show just what they’ve been putting down.
Fan favorite Clay Milliken showed them who was boss to take the number one spot in Top Fuel. Robert Hight showed why he is one of the more feared competitors in Funny Car, even if he hasn’t won a race yet in 2018. Meanwhile, Greg Anderson has three No. 1 qualifying positions in Pro Stock this season but has yet to race in a final round, but he does have four career wins at Atlanta Dragway. And in a move that some might see as cocky, and we just love, Matt Smith took the top spot in the first session of the day for Pro Stock Bike and then chose not to run in the second qualifying session.
