The World Doorslammer Nationals in Orlando has been billed as the ultimate Pro Stock and Pro Mod shootout and we’re glad to see both classes getting the attention they deserve. We’re pretty sure the turnout has been good, and know that many drivers were a lot more excited about going to Florida than they were about trying to race on the mountain in Denver. We love Bandimere, and have had a lot of fun racing there, but that is one place Pro Stockers can’t stand because the naturally aspirated combos just don’t like the thin air at that altitude.
It will be interesting to see what everyone says about this event after the money is all handed out. This is a big purse for both classes, and the first time in recent years that they have been placed on the same level. Pro Mod has been treated like the red headed step child in NHRA for years now, and Pro Stock has been the class everyone thinks will die, but both are amazing to watch and have some of the closest and most fun races you’ll see at any event. This is the kind of racing people want to see, and I think it is awesome that Wes Buck and Drag Illustrated have decided to give them BOTH the stage they deserve.

Good to see some 1\4 miles racing again . And also the Brunet brothers broke a new record there . First 4 cyl in the 5’s , with an Ecotech .
