Finnegan’s 1961 Caddy Is Back For A Tight Fitting Cage And An Awesome Rearend!

Finnegan’s 1961 Caddy Is Back For A Tight Fitting Cage And An Awesome Rearend!

This 1961 Cadillac project that Finnegan is working on really turns our crank. With the goal being Caddy comfort with 8 second drag strip ETs and the potential for 200 mph in the standing mile, this is our kind of ride. I’m a fan of old Caddys anyway, but this one is going to be special. Finnegan set the performance goals, but was very, VERY, clear that they could not come at the expense of piling 4-5 people into this thing and heading cross country. I love him for it, and am super impressed with the work that the crew at MRC is doing to make his dreams a reality. There are going to be other folks involved in the build as well, but these guys have done an amazing job putting together a super sexy rectangular tube chassis and a cage that fits and allows all the stock stuff to still work.

Watch this latest installment on the build as details on the cage and rear chassis fabrication are featured. These guys are doing a great job and it is super fun to watch. Of course Finnegan and Newbern are their normal selves during all of this and we’re pretty sure they only slowed the build down by about 25%, which is saying something for those two.
