Street Racing In Frozen Temps: Detroit Cash Days (SKETCHY RACES In 30ºF Weather!)

Street Racing In Frozen Temps: Detroit Cash Days (SKETCHY RACES In 30ºF Weather!)

It’s damn cold on the streets of Detroit Mexico baby! LOL With 30 degree temps it is hard to believe anyone could get any kind of power to the ground but that didn’t stop them from throwing some Detroit Cash Days races recently. In true Detroit fashion they braved the cold, some carnage, gun shots, collisions, and more. There was no shortage of excitement and drama either, so check out the footage from 1320Video as they tell the story of how Detroit Cash Days went down.

1320Video Description:

We braved the cold and made a trip up north to Motor City for some “Mexico” action. The cold weather didn’t stop some cars from pulling the tires, but others were all over the road, hitting curbs and sometimes their opponent! This was definitely a memorable first time in Detroit – big thanks to Chucky for having us out!

But where’s the 45 minutes of squabbling and BS followed by half an hour of setting the street on fire/”prepping”, followed by a couple boring races, followed by a little more squabbling and BS?? I’m confused…

I really like what 1320 does, very good videos. However, I sure am not a fan of street racing like this. I love the cars and the racing. It’s when they do it like this. Man, I sure hope nothing ever happens real bad when they are filming. Or for that matter anytime. It’s just they have people standing along the curb. Cars parked along the curb near the finishline. And these cars are fast, real fast. I put it as just not real smart at all.

It looked like civilians were on that street. News would love headlines “DRAG RACERS KILL FAMILY IN MINIVAN.” Remember the airport drag races in Texas last year when a car got into the crowd? Just my two cents, no more street racing videos.

This stuff is real funny – until it isn’t. Doing this in the city with narrow streets, curbside crowds and unwary drivers in the vicinity is just asking for a problem. I trust that 1320 will also film and distribute the video of the blood and guts when a car hits the crowd one day.

Gee, I hope none of the 1320 crew gets hurt from an exploding torque convertor while filming this activity for promotional purposes. That would make me sad.

Only an idiot would street race with a crowd around. And only a bigger idot would allow someone to film it.
