(Photos by Cole Reynolds) We love LS engines, and love seeing them in everything you can think of. We especially like some of the weird swaps, but regardless LS powerplants have found themselves in all kinds of hot rods, race cars, trucks, and more. This past weekend was full of LS fun thanks to Holley’s LSFest West in Las Vegas. With drifting, off-road racing, autocross, 3S, road course, drag racing, several shootouts and the Sac Speed Shop Sideshow going on all weekend The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was non-stop tire smoke, noise, and fun. This event has a totally different personality and flare to it than LSFest in Bowling Green, which is cool because it makes them both unique. While I was in the tower, on the autocross course, and roaming all over the grounds announcing, Cole was wearing out a golf cart going from event to event in order to shoot as many photos as possible for all of you. That’s right, we got all these photos for you. So check them out below and use the link to look at any of them that you might have missed from previous galleries.
This year there were some big changes with a much much larger Sideshow pit, much bigger drift courses, and an overall layout that had spectators, racers, and fans immersed in all the action. When you combine the awesome LVMS staff to the mix, including awesome shuttle drivers who were making laps all weekend, it was an atmosphere that had racers, fans, and family all having a great time together. This is the kind of even that really is a party, which is what it should be when you are celebrating everything LS related. We have to thank all the racers who came out to, as we had record numbers of entries in every single category this year. And the spectator parking lot was PACKED! This will be an LSFest West to remember, that’s for sure, and we are already excited about next year.
