We are so excited for the 2014 Drag Racing Season to be starting at Fontana’s Auto Club Dragway. We’ve been without this 1/4 mile dragstrip for what seems like forever due to a bunch of political crap and noise complaints. We won’t get into the idiocy of that whole deal, but will tell you that the PSCA, NHRA, and more are primed and ready to race at the soon to be re-opened Auto Club Dragway in Fontana. And with that re-opening comes a new track manager, Tracy Scott Fischle. His experience in the drag racing community, including promoting, managing and directing events will serve him well in this spot, and there is a lot of great new stuff on it’s way for 2014 in Fontana.
Here is the official press release from the track.
TRACY SCOTT FISCHLE NAMED
AUTO CLUB DRAGWAY TRACK MANAGER
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 3, 2014) – Drag racing veteran Tracy Scott Fischle has been named Track Manager for Auto Club Dragway, Southern California’s only championship quarter-mile Dragway in Fontana, Calif. Fischle will be responsible for overseeing all activities at Auto Club Dragway, effective immediately.
Fischle joins Auto Club Dragway with over 44 years of experience in the drag racing industry. An NHRA licensed driver since 1985, Fischle and his family currently run two Super Comp Dragsters, sponsored by Lucas Oil, MAVTV and Canidae Pet Foods. Between 1994-2002, Fischle served on the Board of Directors for the former Rialto Raceway at Rialto Airport where he was involved in operating all aspects of the racing facility.
Fischle also brings over 30 years of owning and operating a successful retail printing business in Twin Peaks, Calif.
“Having been a staple in the drag racing community for so many years, it’s such a privilege to be part of Auto Club Dragway”, said Fischle. “I have no doubt that my experience running my family’s businesses, in addition to racing and organizing events at various Southern California dragstrips, including Auto Club Dragway, will serve me and my fellow drag racing enthusiasts well.”

This is the best news for the new track!!!
This is great news for Southern California.
I have been waiting to run my Camaro in the 1/4 mile since the track closed. The bottom line is that Southern California needs a 1/4 mile dragstrip. Otherwise, street racing runs rampant, which costs people lives. Thanks to Auto Club and K&N Filters for assisting in the sound wall for this track.
