Is This Ex-Pro Stock Engine We Found On Racing Junk Cool Or What?

Is This Ex-Pro Stock Engine We Found On Racing Junk Cool Or What?

Growing up, one of my favorite classes of drag racing was Pro Stock. So much so that when I could afford it I signed up for Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School and got my Pro Stock license. That was more than 15 years ago. So you can imagine just how excited I was to see this DRCE2 Pro Stock engine for sale on Racing Junk CHEAP! It’s an ex Jeg Coughlin engine and has had work done on it by Jason Line. With an asking price of $15,500, I think you could knock a few bucks off that and have a pretty impressive piece for the money. After all, these made enough power to propel a Pro Stocker to high 6’s in the quarter. That’s moving!

And this sucker is really complete.

Here is all the info from the seller. CLICK HERE TO GO SEE THE ORIGINAL RACINGJUNK AD

I had a Ford version for many years. Little tiny stroke with a HUGE bore. The engine was actually an awesome Super Comp mill because of where it made its power. Ate tons of valve springs, though.

Indeed, pro stock motors are valve spring eating machines. A friend was talking to WJ one time about making money racing and he says, “Make money? I spent $12,000 last year just on valve springs.”
