I love 1968 and 1969 Chevelles. They are my favorite big Chevelle and they look awesome as drag cars. This one is the right color, has the right stance, and is fully built and ready for some Drag Radial racing. At the moment, as a street car, it runs in the 8’s with a small block and a Vortech supercharger. WE have a feeling that a little more boost and this thing could be an absolute riot on both the street and the track and run in the 7’s. With an asking price of $40,000, we think this thing is a pretty good deal. The brand name parts in it are the real deal, the chassis work looks great, and we don’t see anywhere that corners have been cut. For Sale… 1968 Chevelle back half, 4 link car. True 8 second street car.
Good paint, Current California registration. All glass windows, fiberglass fenders, hood and bumpers. All new interior, Kirkey 17″ seats, 10 point cage with swing out doors bars and recent 8.5 NHRA cert. New Racepak IQ3 Street Dash with data logger, MSD grid, ARC, boost control and K&R wiring system. 15 gallon fuel cell, Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump, controller and new plumbing throughout the car.
Car has a square tube back half. 4 link, anti roll and sheet metal 9″ done by BRE Racecars. 3.90 strange ultra case, 40 spline gun drilled axles, strange rear brakes, wildwood front brakes. Rack and pinion steering, TRZ upper and lower control arms. Front and rear double adjustable coil overs. RC Component wheels with double bead lock rears, currently has 28/10.5 drag radial, have 315 drag radials and will fit a bigger tire. Has removable chute.
Engine is 100% new parts, built by B&R Machine, 393 CID, Dart Little M block, AFR 245 heads, Callies Ultra XD rods, Crower crank with BB snout, JE pistons, block and heads o-ring and receiver grooves, Howards cam, Jesel belt drive, T&D rockers, CVR water pump and Moroso vacuum pump. The motor is built for boost! Have all paperwork. Vortech V7-YSIB supercharger, assortment of pulley’s, Garrett core A/A intercooler, Pro Systems gas blow through carb with C&S bowls. Motor has break in time and 5 passes at the track.
New Spec-Rite powerglide trans and converter and new driveshaft. Ran in the 8’s on a very soft tune up. Car weighs 3200 lbs race ready without driver.
Car is bad ass, runs awesome, is fast and gets a lot of attention. $40,000 obo. Selling because I am wanting to do something different. Possible Trade for newer performance vehicle like Corvette, Z06, Camaro, CTS-V, etc OR ??? No racecars. Can ad cash for the right car or you can ad cash to your trade if lesser amount.
