Anyone who’s every given your buddy a gentle nudge from one car to another, or flat out shoved others around in junk trucks, knows that the thought of bashing your car into another is tempered only by the fact that you would A. have to fix it, and B. might get a ticket for it. Otherwise we would be ramming into each other for the slightest thing, on a daily basis. So why don’t more of us compete in Demo Derbys? The truth is I have no good answer for this. I have multiple friends who have been, or were, involved in Demo Derbys and would gladly help me build one. I have plenty of driving skill, and a desire to run into people, so I think I might at least have a fighting chance. But who knows, maybe not. But who knows! This would be a riot.
