This one was really fun. Our friends Marcel and Jason, the guys behind Auto Revolution and their Car Guy Confessions, Influence and Impact, and several other podcasts, invited me and our friend Jefferson Bryant onto Car Guy Confessions with Jeff Smith during the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona a few months ago and we had a great time. As is typical with me and Jefferson, we had no problem keeping up with, and sometimes talking over Jeff Smith, but man did we have fun. I want to thank Jeff and Marcel and Jason for having us, and say that it was a pleasure. I still pinch myself sometimes when I think about all the cool people I get to hang out with.
I mean Jeff Smith. This dude is a legend, and I’m really thankful for getting to become friends with him over the years. This dude, like Freiburger and several others, has done it all and shaped an entire generation of hot rodders and racers and for that I’m thankful. I read everything he wrote in Car Craft and Hot Rod back in the day and can tell you that my dad’s stick shift racing, and Jeff Smith’s stick shift articles, shaped me into the three pedal fan that I am today.
