Does This $19 Ratchet Prove That Premium Ratchets are a Waste of Money?! Let’s See.

We’ve talked about it a bunch here on BANGshift.com, and by it I mean cheap tools. I don’t have a big budget so I’m a bang for your buck kind of guy, like most of you out there. That doesn’t mean that I should always buy the cheapest thing, because sometimes the cheap thing isn’t really a good value, but I do try to make sure that what I am buying for my tool box is, in fact, a good buy. I want my tools to perform when they need to, and to do the job I bought them for comfortably and without breaking the bank.

But what if the expensive tool really is better? Then I say you should buy it. But what if a cheap tool proves to be as good, or significantly better than the expensive one? Don’t buy it. That’s my thing. I say that if there isn’t a good reason to buy a particular brand, meaning quality, value, warranty, etc, then you shouldn’t. And that should be something you live by whether you are shopping for cheap tools or expensive ones.

In the video below, we watch Project Farm put ratchets to the test to see how the expensive and the cheap compare. Will a $19 ratchet really compete with, or surpass the more expensive premium brand?

Watch and find out as the test includes tons of brands at a variety of price points. Who do you think will come out on top?

Video Description:

½ Inch Drive GearWrench, Snap On, SK, Neiko, ICON, DeWalt, Wera, ARES, Stahlwille, Klein Tools, Craftsman, SATA, Williams, Mac Tools, Duratech, Pittsburgh, and Workpro. It’s always a great day when affordable products outperform the more expensive brands and that was the case in this review. Working arc swing, back drag, failure load, and build quality are all compared in this review.

I purchased all of the products and supplies used in this review. So, thank you for supporting the channel!
