How To Correctly Select And Size Your New Helmet. The Right Fit Makes It More Comfortable AND Safer.

Wearing the right safety equipment is key to racing at any level. There is never a reason not to wear the proper gear, because if you race long enough then you will crash. It’s just part of it. Hopefully, it is minor, but if it isn’t then you want to make sure you are wearing the best protective gear you can. But the best doesn’t always have to mean expensive. In the video below you are going to see three different brands of helmets, but all of them are SNELL-rated. So regardless of the brand and price point, you can have the right safe helmet for the racing you are doing.

What is most important in the helmet-buying process is to get one that fits tight enough, but not too tight. If you shake your head and the helmet flops around, then the helmet is too big. If you put it on and it is so tight that it hurts your head, it’s too small.

Watch the video to learn how to choose the right size.
