Make Your Own Tools: Justin At The Fabrication Series Shows You How To Build Your Own DIY Metal Cutting Bandsaw Table

We love tools around here and especially those that are homemade. I love it when you can spend time in the shop building something and then end up with a tool that will help you build other things. In this video from the Fabrication Series, Justin shows us how to use a portable band saw, some simple materials, and simple tools to build your own bandsaw table. But this isn’t like most of the other bandsaw tables that you can buy. He’s got some differences in design, and this one requires no welding, no metal shaping, and not much more than a drill, some bits, the bandsaw, and a file. And it makes it a lot easier to use for a lot of cuts you’d make, and the materials needed are just a sheet of aluminum and a couple of bolts.

Check out the video below where Justin will talk you through the design, the materials, the parts, and more. He’s got this figured out and it works really well. In his garage, he’s got a small fab table like you’d buy at Harbor Freight and he’s bolting this bandsaw table to it, but you could also bolt it to any other workbench. Or, you could make a mount for it and mount it in a vice, into a receiver on a bench or table, etc. There are lots of options.

Let us know what you think.
