I’ve been using Power Stations for several years now, as we use them on our livestreams to power downtrack cameras and wireless equipment. I own Jackery, Predator, and Anker models and have tried all of them with great success. Yes, some are better than others, or have different features than others, but the truth is that they all work really well for what I’m doing. When we had 5 days without power, it was nice to be able to use my power stations, even though they are little units compared those being tested, because I could use them to run the internet, tv, and keep my phone and computer charged up and working. My refrigerators ran off my generator, but thankfully I only had to have it running every few hours to keep the fridges topped off on cold and make sure the power stations were fully charged.
It wasn’t hard, and they saved the day for sure. A unit like one of these 2000 watt jobbies can really be a life savor in a disaster, but also can be your power solution for drag and drive events. If you can plug in to charge them at night in the hotel, or at the track with solar, then you can power all the tools and lights you need during even the longest drag and drive events like Rocky Mountain Race Week.
Check out the video below, where a bunch of these 2000 watt power stations are put to the test, and let us know which one you have or are going to buy.
Video Description:
