We’ve shared lots of Steve Magnante videos here on the channel over the years, and have been very supportive of him in his health woes over the past year, but when he announced that he had sold his house and was selling off cars to pay his medical bills, the car community stepped in big. Not only did folks clamor to pick up some of his iconic rides, but also pressured Steve to start a GoFundMe campaign so that all the people he has touched over the years could reach out and help him as well. And they certainly have. But there are still things that have to go as Steve’s physical health still has some recovery to make and so working on cars is not in his immediate future. That’s where Sleeper Dude comes into the story. He saw one of Steve’s videos and was off like a shot to grab hold of a cool piece of Magnante history. I love it, and you’ll dig the story and the video.

Video Description:
Growing up in the 90’s and reading every car magazine I could get my hands on guys like Steve Magnante @SteveMagnante had a huge effect on the type of cars I like to build now. Projects like his Wilshire Shaker altered wheelbase Nova and big block Cadillac swapped Chevette shaped my taste in automobiles. So when I saw that Steve was selling his Funny Fairmont project I just couldn’t pass it up. Come along with us on our 2000 mile road trip after sleeping 3 hours to get this awesome 81 box top altered wheelbase Fairmont that has been swapped to a Cobra/Mach 1 4.6 4 valve, TKO600 transmission, and 8.8 rear.
