Westen Champlin is a wild man. I’ve had the pleasure of working with him when he made a guest announcer appearance during Holley’s Moparty one year, and LSFest another. I’ve known him for a few years and he’s a lot to take in, but he does know how to put on a show. I recently worked with him again on the Vibe 200 with O’Reilly Auto Parts and Vice Grip Garage and man he had me laughing half the time and wanting to kill him the other half! That’s because Westen was being Westen, pushing the envelope and going for some shock value, which I do appreciate but it was my job to reign in the monkeys so I had to be the adult in the garage. I know, that’s weird, but it was my job.
