Willomet Motor & Fab Shopcast: Check Out This Secret SEMA Project They Were Working On For Seymour Paint’s 75th Anniversary

You’ve seen some of the videos we’ve featured from Willomet Motor and Fab in the past, with various project vehicles they have been working on, and we do have a cool video on their insane squarebody Suburban coming up, but this one is about a different kind of project. It looks kind of simple when completed, but the truth is that some pretty careful planning had to go into this one, especially since it was going on display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas earlier this month. David works with a company called Seymour Paint, a company that is celebrating 75 years in business, and who makes some pretty awesome paint that you should really know about. We’re pretty particular around here when it comes to vouching for coatings, but Seymour stands up to whatever standards you have. But more on them later, because Seymour is about WAY more than just paint.

Right now, we’re sharing the ShopCast video with David and the gang giving a full rundown on what this project is, why it isn’t as simple as it looks, and how they actually made it happen without a ton of insane tooling. The answer is by using Send Cut Send, and Miller Welders, but there is more to it than that as well.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think, because it sure inspires me to make some cool looking stuff for the shop!

Helping my friends at Seymour Paint celebrate 75 years of innovation by designing and building these sculptures for their SEMA booths has been a great privilege. I spent months working with my partners at SendCutSend and Miller Welders to develop and execute this design, and I wanted to use this discussion format to share some behind-the-scenes details with y’all. I think we’ll do this type of episode again, and include friends and builders and fabricators I admire.
