Whenever you walk into a fancy pro builder’s shop you’ll find cars and trucks sitting on wheel stands made of 2×4 lumber. Sometimes there are race ramp stands, sometimes other fabricated metal ones, but most of the time it is just a stack of 2x4s screwed together to lift a car up to a comfortable height to do bodywork. But why not just use a rotisserie or something like that? Because old cars move around when you lift them. That’s why.
