We’ve all heard the stories, seen photos, and heard about recalls, but how good or bad are cheap jack stands? How do they compare to high-dollar jack stands? Or are all the standard designs just junk? I know that all of you have been using jack stands for years, and if you are my age you’ve probably seen several designs come and go, but I can tell you that jack stands in general are heavier and larger now than when I was a kid. And yet they seem to be more dangerous than ever. Or they are if you believe the hype anyway.
