Hydraulic brakes aren’t a complicated system in the grand scheme of things, but little things can make them work way less than ideal. And unfortunately tons of folks “upgrade” their brakes only to find that they don’t actually work better than the stock stuff 95+% of the time. If you upgrade brakes so that they are better at the extremes, but never drive your car to those extremes, then there isn’t much point. And, unfortunately, if you don’t get all the components in the system right then you’ll likely have new brakes that also don’t work as well as the factory stuff in the everyday environment that isn’t at the extremes. So you need to make sure you do it right, and part of doing it right is having the right brake fluid for what you are doing.
