If you are into car stuff at all, which should be everyone reading this, then you undoubtedly have seen SendCutSend ads on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. There are lots of ads talking about their services and showing really well cut parts. If you are somehow not familiar, SendCutSend is a service that allows you to design your own parts at home, either using their online tool or your own software before you then send that design to them to be cut out. You can choose from a jillion different materials and you also get to decide whether to have your parts CNC Laser Cut or CNC Waterjet Cut. You can also have custom routing done, bending, finishing, and so much more. I mean they do it all if you need them to. But if all you need is for someone to cut out parts for you so you can then form them at home, that’s okay too.
After you send them your drawing, they cut it out and send it back. Hence the name, Send Cut Send. But is it all its cracked up to be?
I don’t know, I have never used the service before, but I have considered getting my own CNC Plasma table, so I’d like to know if SendCutSend is the smarter choice instead of spending money on my own machine. David at Willomet has used SendCutSend a bunch, so we were interested in his opinion, and here it is.

If you’ve spent any amount of time on Fabrication Instagram, you can’t miss @sendcutsend. They are a rapid manufacturer that quickly fabricates from your own custom design, and delivers that product directly to you. It’s a business founded by regular-folk garage builders, just like you and me. You can see I’ve made great use of their services, and it was high time I gave you folks my candid assessment of them. Spoiler alert – I’m a fan. Take care, David
