Dzus fasteners, or quarter turn fasteners as they are often called, are one of the coolest aerospace and race car fasteners around. You’ve got a real race car when you have something being held on with Dzus fasteners. But for every 10 race cars with good Dzus fastener mounting you’ll see 1 or 2 that have horrible Dzus fasteners that don’t fit right, are hard to remove or install, and that just don’t look right. Choosing the right ones for your application is an important aspect of their proper installation and use, but knowing how to use a Dzus rail and install one can make you into a hero when it comes time to service your race car.
