If you have ever owned a pair of automotive lift ramps, like the ones you’d use for doing an oil change, then you know that there is something sketchy feeling about them not matter how much they cost. I’ve owned several over the years and still own a couple pairs of plastic ones. I know that mine are solid and will hold the weight, but the rubber pads that were on the bottom of them when new to keep them from sliding as you drove up on them disappeared from some of them years ago. And when you get to the top and hit the little stop it always feels like you are going to drive over the back of them. And I’ve seen it done.
But are any of these ramps really good? I mean I feel like mine are way better than a lot of them, but they still make me feel nervous.
Check out the video below to see Project Farm put a bunch of ramps through their paces.
Video Description:
Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Plastic and Steel, MaxxHaul, RhinoRamp, Black Widow, BiSupply, Eastwood, M Auto, Petersen, Kiekumm, Vowagh. I compared all of the ramps for use with low clearance vehicles, performance of ramps with rear wheel drive vehicle, front wheel drive vehicle, 4×4, “runaway” force, and ramp failure load. I purchased all of the ramps and supplies used to test the ramps to ensure an unbiased review. So, thank you for supporting the channel.
