When I was growing up in my grandpa’s auto shop, there were two things I remembered about washing up. One was that he had a Tupperware shaker of dry abrasive hand soap that you shook out and mixed with water on your hands along with a second liquid cleaner that was blue and less abrasive. And along with those cleaners, he had a towel dispenser that had a large roll of actual cloth towel that you pulled on to get to a clean and dry section. The ZEP guy would replace it every so often, and refill the soaps. When I grew up and got my own shop, I went with ZEP as well, and would have gone with the towel dispenser but it wasn’t in the budget and then they got rid of that service. And now that my own shop is getting closer to being done, the timing is right for a video on hand cleaner as I’ll have to decide which way I’m going before too long as well.
In this video you’ll see Project Farm test all these different hand cleaners, 11 to be exact, and gives us a winner. There have always been common favorites, but there have also been some advancements and new offerings in the past few years which is why people asked him to test this. I dig the video and it makes you think a bit.
