The Auction Corvette is no stranger to breaking engines, after all it had done it before Cleetus even bough the damn thing. It has stuck to that script since he did purchase it, and now it is in need of new power yet again. Luckily the crew has a 4.8 that had 7 mint rod bearings and one questionable player in it but that hadn’t hurt anything else yet. So, with the help of some Plastiguage, a new set of bearings, and a set of rings, this little 4.8 is soon going to be crammed full of boost in search of an 8 second pass out of the Auction Corvette. We love that these guys keep thrashing and laughing and having fun with this car after finding out just how bad it was in the beginning. Many folks would be so disappointed that they would lose focus. Cleetus instead took that as encouragement to make it something real. Plus, when the thing was already screwed up it makes it hard to feel bad about screwing it up yourself. We’re jealous, this looks like a really fun project to play with.
