If you spend enough time at a dragstrip, shooting photos and video, racing, or just watching, you’ll at some point either see a close call or be involved in one. That likelihood goes up substantially when the racing is happening on the street or a no-prep race track. With little or no prep, and the typically poor condition of most city streets, you never know what a car might do when trying to lay down real power. Add in a sticky throttle, as was the case of this particular street race wagon, and things can get sketchy quick.
In this video you’ll see street racing action and a close call that we’re sure got Fred’s juices flowing and the blood pressure up a few clicks. Watch, cringe, laugh, and appreciate why the safety stuff is there in the first place.

Fords will kill you if they can.
One good reason why spectators should´nt be so close to the track.
