The Parting Shift: An Epic Video Of Gear Banging Expertise, Plus How To Drive The Stripe

Most people say you can’t effectively bracket race a stick shift car, but this dude proves otherwise. An .047 light that the driver says was slow, and a pass that was “right on with a 2”, means this was one tight package. The tach is in full view, and there is not doubt this clutch shifted transmission is being put through it’s paces. Watch the video and you’ll see that this car leaves at over 6,000 rpm and is being shifted somewhere around 7500. Just when you think this video is all about banging gears, the driver gets to the top end and plays the “whaa whaa” game to stay out front without breaking out. It’s an epic display of how to drive a stick shift car in a bracket race. We approve!

Watch the video, you’ll dig it.

Track is in the middle of a corn field! Used to race my 04 GTO w/6spd. After making about 200 passes on the car, had my RT down to an avg of .040.
