This Chevelle Is On Two Wheels At Least 10 Times And Doesn’t Hit Anything!!!

This Chevelle Is On Two Wheels At Least 10 Times And Doesn’t Hit Anything!!!

This is one of the craziest things we’ve ever seen on a dragstrip, and we’re not going to even get into why, what, or any of that. We’re just going to watch this video for it’s craziness and pick our chins back up off the floor. This Chevelle, which was running at the NMCA West Finals in Fontana this weekend and is Daphne’s favorite leaving car of the weekend, left on a normal pass and when the front end came down it started a chain reaction of swerving and steering and throttle and stuff that ended up with this Chevelle on two wheels at least 10 times during the run. How it didn’t hit anything but one cone is an amazing thing that we would not have believe had we not seen it ourselves. Insane is what this is.

Dirty is what his pants and seat are! This would scare the crap out of anyone. Wow.

    1. Jeff & Tracie Paulin & GGSGOLD

GGSGOLD has hundreds of passes with the front wheels up and has always gone straight. Saturday at Fontana on the first pass the car started to turn right. I stayed off the brake on purpose so the car would steer. We made two passes after this but did not use the trans brake and the car went straight. On the next pass using the trans brake the car went up and then right again. We quite for the weekend. On Monday we talked to Tony Mendella at PMR and came up with a 3 point approach to keep the front end down. Ballest on the front end, new front shocks that limit the yank factor and a re-tune of the 4 link. I think that the rebuild of the motor after the damage in June gave us another 60 hp and the car is overpowering the wheelie bar lifting the tires off the pavement. We will get it solved before taking it out again. Thanks NMCA West, Bangshift and my fellow racers for your concern and positive comments. GGSGOLD will be back in action no later than the March Meet 2016. Jeff & Tracie

Jeff, Dana Sniff and I are ecstatic that you and the car survived to race another day. I think your approach above is the correct one. Dennis
