This Fox Body Mustang From Garage Built Racing Nearly Ran 7’s At LS Fest On First Few Hits!

We got such a kick out of watching this Matt Allred and Garage Built Racing Fox Body Mustang during LS Fest last weekend. The crew had literally built this car from the ground up and had it completely apart still just 24 hours before leaving for Bowling Green’s LS Fest. Once they got it together, all thoughts were on running something epic with this little bastard, and showing the world what could be done with a relatively low buck build. The car features a 6 liter LS bottom end with all ARP Fasteners, touched 243 heads, a Holley Hi-Ram Intake, and lots of boost. Sounds like a recipe for a great weekend, but it certainly didn’t start out that way. In fact, the car was so scary to drive on it’s first couple passes we almost told them they couldn’t run anymore!

Some suspension tweaks and settings changes made the thing more stable and pretty soon it was going from high 9 second passes down into the 8’s and then the low 8’s, and then the lower 8’s! It was awesome to watch from the tower while announcing as these guys were certainly excited. Congrats gang!
