1970’s Meets Pro-Touring? Could This Be One Bad Ass Fat Tire Camaro?

1970’s Meets Pro-Touring? Could This Be One Bad Ass Fat Tire Camaro?

This 1967 Camaro looks crazy. There is no doubt that it will hold a 315, or any other tire it’s little heart desires, but could you take this style of car that looks like it was built in the 1970’s or 1980’s and bring it back as a pro-touring bad ass? I think you could, and I think everyone would watch you do it! This is an unfinished project, but it does run and drive. Plus it has a full cage and several other tidbits that have it a lot closer to a killer pro-touring machine than you might think. Check it out, we’d love to see something like this tearing up the autocross and road course near you!

1967 Camaro Flared Pro Touring 6

Up for sale is a 1967 Chevy Camaro. This project has been heavily modified and would make for a great drag race car or could be made into a daily driver. Car has full roll cage with solo driver seat and five point belts. A second seat can be installed. Car has painless wire harness installed and just needs to be finished. Has race style dash with all switches for ignition, start button, fan etc. Car comes with a mild small block 350 that runs strong with a turbo 350 transmission. Has all glass with wing windows and fuel cell is in trunk. Car has Ford 9″ rear end with Gibson exhaust that shoots out in front of rear tires. Front and rear fenders have been flared out. This is a fun car and sounds bad ass. Car runs and drives but could still use some work before it would be one hundred percent completed. Car has a clean title. As for my asking price I’m leaving it as make offer and see what kind of numbers come across. Please don’t be afraid to make me an offer, but please be reasonable. This is a running and driving 67 Camaro. The only trade I would consider would be a 1966 or 1967 Chevy Nova.

You might be able to work around the wheel flares but running boards on a camaro are really tough to pull off?

yeh Chuck you’ve nailed it…I was thinking ` this should work … but it doesnt..’ and you’re right its the running boards… I reckon you could cut them away a fair bit to emphasise the flares, and nail it with careful (huge) wheel choice and ride height..but even then you’d be pushing it uphill…

agreed: lose the running boards & replace with real header/side pipe combo ala Greenwoods Corvettes….oh,and lower it a bit 🙂

Don’t know what he was smoking but those fender flares are hideous!

The isn’t bad ass, just bad taste…

With the right wheel and tire choice..and some 70ies graphics and stripes..and cutting away the running boards..it would look much better.

Someone correct me if i`m wrong here. In the late 70`s Hooker came out with a line of hideous flares, spoilers and hoods for popular cars like Novas,Camaros, etc. This looks like the flares and boards you could get back then with a lot of kitty hair molding them together.
