We’ve seen all kinds of reactions to someone’s first Top Fuel, Funny Car, or Nitro experience in general, but this “best of” is greatness. If you think you’ve already seen this one, know that this is the 2nd from these fine folks and so this one has all kinds of new stuff in it. And so many of the reactions will make you smile and laugh. Kids and adults both, freaking and out and loving it. These are the kinds of reactions I love seeing from someone who has never had the experience. And if you haven’t had the privilege of standing on or near the starting line when a modern fuel car leaves the starting line, then figure a way to make it happen. It’s great, and everyone should experience it.

That’s better than the first one!! My dad was in his 60’s when I took him to the U. S. Nationals. Gave him ear plugs and MADE him put them in. Boy that was a fun day.
My brother in-laws nephews ears bled listening to a warm up in the pits. What a puss!
Been watching fuel cars since late ’60’s. I remember when Ohio Valley had fuel cars on a regular basis on saturday nights. But every year Gainesville is the first time for me and I continue at 66 years old to be as amazed at the violence they produce now as 54 years ago the first time I saw one. Amazing and something everyone should experience.
A couple of years ago at Norwalk a lady was sitting next to me and when the first pair of dragsters left the line I thought she was going to jump out of her seat. She got a little better later in the day. Another bonus, if a little breeze blows some nitro up in the stands with some burnt rubber. Doesn’t get any better.
I miss Englishtown.
That’s so funny, I’m often trackside and love watching the reactions, actually saw a grown man reduced to tears once.
