If you are anywhere near US 131 this weekend you should go as it’s a great facility that is ultra fun to attend for a race.

With really tight points battles in Nitro Funny Car, ProMod, Pro Stock, and Nitro Harley, this promises to be one hell of a racing weekend! And that’s just the Pros! Wait until you see all the Sportsman and Alcohol burning cars that will be tearing it up as well.

Late Friday night qualifying was delayed by weather, but if you waited up for the final pair of nitro funny cars, Jason Rupert in the Bays & Rupert “Black Plague” ’69 Camaro ran an awesome 5.555 second elapsed time at 262.39 miles per hour – the quickest pass ever for the nitro funny car class!

There will be one more qualifying session for the US 131 Motorsports Park IHRA Nitro Jam Northern Nationals Presented by Aeromotive on Saturday afternoon.  Watch it here on BangShift!
