Have we established that we are fans of GM’s B-body? Lohnes owns one. I’ve owned two, and would own another. Chad likes them, though he likes them just a little bit older, and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. In the South, though, where JMalcom films his videos, they are almost a status symbol down there. Having a big Chevy, or a Cadillac, or any other B-body, carries prestige. You’ll get more attention, conversation, and fans with a Caprice than you ever will with a Corvette. And these boys know a thing or two about making a Chevy move the hell out. They’ve been doing it for years for whatever reason, be it generational racing, street hustling, or just having the power to have the power. The cool thing is that these aren’t usually gutted-out, purpose-built race cars. Many of these machines still have plates on and could be driven on the street with minimal to no hassle whatsoever. Yes, there’s a Cadillac, which is really a D-body, but who cares…you get the gist. I’ll happily take that black notchback Caprice coupe with the updated nose and tail treatments, thank you.
