Bounty Hunters No Prep Shootout Coverage – More Bits From The Pits And Craziness From The Track

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – When it comes to the two most rapidly exploding parts of the drag racing world, especially on social media you need look no further than No Time racing and No Prep racing. While virtually all No Prep racing IS No Time racing, most No Time racing is done on a track that has at least been breathed on a little bit. When we were at the Bounty Hunters No Prep Shootout at San Antonio Raceway a few weeks ago we saw some of the coolest No Prep and No Time cars in the country. If you want to know how serious No Time guys are about protecting their information we have seen tracks that make sure things are turned off and then they physically block the computer screens in the tower as an added measure of protection. It is for real! Anyway, No Prep racing is like a fist fight on wheels where the only object is to get to the other end first by any means necessary. That was the case in San Antonio.

With $50,000 on the line, the people and the cars all showed up. The small tire class was running for five digit cash prizes as well so those guys were on kill and you’ll be able to see a fantastic wheelie sequence that Charles captured here that features the awesome red Malibu wagon that dead hooks its drag radials at every place it ever shows up!

Like we said the other day, you can hate on No Prep style drag racing all you want but the reality is that this is happening on a race track and no on a highway or street near you. You don’t have to love it but you should give it some respect for sure.
