Chronicles of BeerMoney: Episode 1 – 6 Things You Gotta Have To Be Successful In No Prep Drag Racing

No-Prep drag racing is ultra simple, in principle. I mean all you need to know is that the track doesn’t have any glue or prep done to it before the race starts so as to mimic the streets as much as possible. With that said, some tracks scrape to bare concrete or asphalt before racing starts, but regardless the track will come around more and more as the event goes on. But sometimes it comes around a lot and lots of times it doesn’t come around much at all. Regardless, the track is going to be the variable when it comes to going rounds, but a lot of guys have figured it out. One of them is Peter Harrell, our engine builder extraordinaire from the $10k Drag Shootout, who has partnered up with Lyle Barnett on the Mustang we built on the show to be a force to be reckoned with.

Beer Money, our 4-eyed Fox Body Mustang, is a race-winning machine and that’s because Lyle and Pete have worked their asses off to develop a winning combo that can make it down the track and do it fast.

Luckily Pete is all about sharing secrets and he’s going to give some of them out right here.
