As we have done for the last few years, BangShift.com is again live broadcasting and covering the PRO Winter Warm Up nitro test session at Palm Beach International Raceway in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is the place and week where some of the biggest names in NHRA nitro fueled drag racing come out to knock the proverbial rust off, test new parts, experiment with their combos, and prepare for the upcoming NHRA Winternationals which are a scant few weeks away. While there are a fair share of shortened runs due to the experimentation process, there are also usually some big numbers and this year has been no exception. Spencer Massey’s 3.72 second blast on Friday night was awesome and some consistently fast funny car numbers were also part of the program led by Ron Capps going 4.023 in the evening session.

I know they need the downforce, but the FC body’s are really an embarrassment to anything automotive. I’d rather have slower racing that looked like something that resembles a real car. This wedge with a bubble on top is disgusting. Funnycar?
