(Photos by Robert Paxton) – We told you that we would be back with more action photos from the 2016 Kontinentals Day of the Drags from Little River Raceway in Texas and we were not kidding. Robert Paxton was our man on the scene for the event and his images really tell the story of the weekend with all of the cool cars, rat rods, hot rods, and vintage drag machines attacking the track. While the event is more about fun and camaraderie than competition, there are lots of guys there who want to prove their mettle against the rest of the cars in attendance and you’ll see a few of them there.
Some of the nattering nabobs out there may lament that some of the cars do not have the brace of modern safety equipment that you’ll see on machines at other tracks but we really love the authentic feel of this event and while it is a little more dangerous, it looks bad ass. Maybe that’s dumb to say out loud but look at these photos and tell us that this doesn’t look fun as hell!
