No Mercy Week: Take A Look Back At DeWayne Mills’ $50,000 Payday In PTC Radial Vs The World!

As you read this racers and vendors are stacking up at South Georgia Motorsports Park for No Mercy. This is the wild Donald Long promoted radial tire drag race that features classes like x275, no-time grudge racing, and the big daddy of them all Radial vs The World. This category is as crazy as it is electrifying to watch and this weekend at SGMP the biggest names names in the radial world will be chasing the massive payday that Duck has raised for the racers. The last two times that this event has been held, one man dominated the class. That man was DeWayne Mills in his famed “Golden Gorilla” Camaro. This car was unbeatable last year and the video below shows how he managed to wade through the tough 32 car eliminator that the class presents.

These three-second eighth mile cars are packed with an incredible array of technology and they perform on levels that no one would have expected or predicted even five years ago. Basically you have full bodied, heavy door slammers out running alky funny cars to the eighth mile mark. This is for real!

The neatest part is that to this point, there is no “right way” to run the class. Big inch nitrous motors, small blocks with turbos, blower hemi mills, and on and on and on. This video below will get you warmed up for the start of competition on Wednesday. This is going to be awesome!

The RvW cars are some of the most exciting cars in drag racing! They seem to defy the laws of physics. AWESOME

If it’s radial vs the world then a guy can show up and run any tire – any width he wants against a radial tire car?
