That’s why he hit the strip at GALOT Motorsports Park a while back to check out the PDRA’s Drag Wars event. This gathering of huge horsepower hot rods delivered a load of great action to the assembled fans at GALOT and it rewarded Benoit’s lens with some sweet cars to capture as well.
The PDRA’s brand of extreme eighth mile racing is really fun to watch and follow. The cars continue to evolve and pick up in performance, shattering all previous expectations of what “maximum” performances could be for full bodied cars on the eighth mile. Seriously, these guys and girls are killing it.
Who won at GALOT? Lizzy Musi won in Pro Nitrous, Terry Leggett won in Pro Extreme, Cary Goforth won in Extreme Pro Stock, Brad McCoy won in Extreme Motorcycle, Dillon Voss in Outlaw 632, and Aaron Glaser in the PDRA’s wild Top Sportsman category.
These action photos cover a huge spread of cars from the gasser exhibition machines all the way to the top of the Pro Extreme heap. You’ll love ’em, trust us!
