No Membership Required: ECTA Is Running An Additional Race This Year – Standing Mile Fun November 10-11 At The Mile in Arkansas

The ECTA is having so much fun racing at their venue in Arkansas that they have added a race to the 2018 schedule and it is easier than ever to participate. No membership is required for this last meet and even more fun is the fact that cars from 2009-present are allowed to go 185mph without needing a roll bar. That’s right, if you have a modern muscle car or sports car, you can go 185mph without needing to put a bar in it. That is huge!

The racing has been hot and heavy in 2018 at the Blytheville International Airport in Arkansas and it has been so good and the place has been so welcoming that the organization decided that they were not done quite yet. Racing is held on Saturday and Sunday November 10/11 and if history has a guide you will have ample opportunity to crank down the course.

This is the last chance this year that you’ll have to hit the mile. Don’t miss it! Details below as well as a registration link. BE THERE!

Wish I could go. Folks, this is worth doing and I’d love to see a great turnout. If you haven’t done LSR this is an opportunity to try it on for size. So suit up and GO FOR IT!

Would like to run our LSR rear engien modified roadster there BUT the rules require four wheel brakes since we have rear brakes only and two chutes to stop we are not able to pass tech oh well. Car passes tech in Maine and at Bonneville
typical LSR car rear brakes only.

So…. everyone who has set records there before, had to pay for a membership. Now anyone off the street can show up and scoop their records away.
I have to disagree with this. Just don’t see it as fair.
